Frequently asked questions
Nonprofits in Colorado with 501(c)(3) status that serve financially disadvantaged young adults aged 17 to 19 can apply to partner with us at BPI. To get started, submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) detailing your mission, programs, and how they align with our goal of empowering futures and transforming lives. We open grant applications twice a year—in April and September—so you’ll have clear opportunities to secure funding and collaborate with us to make a difference for vulnerable youth.
The BPI Scholars Program is here to support financially disadvantaged young adults who are ready to advance their education and career goals. If you’re between 17 and 19 years old, graduating high school (or recently graduated), and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, you may qualify! Applicants must enroll full-time (at least 12 credit hours) at a Colorado Community or Technical College and pursue a certification or associate degree. This program is all about breaking down barriers and helping you succeed.
We’re proud to say that 94 cents of every dollar donated to BPI goes directly to funding our Scholarship and Grants Programs. With only 6% administrative costs and a Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid for two consecutive years, we ensure your contributions have the greatest impact. Every dollar helps us empower futures and transform lives.
At BPI, we focus our grants on empowering financially disadvantaged young adults aged 17 to 19 as they transition from high school to adulthood. While we support nonprofit partners serving broader communities, our grants are dedicated to programs that directly benefit this vulnerable group. By concentrating our efforts here, we aim to transform lives and create meaningful opportunities during this critical phase of personal and professional growth.
